National Campaign for Prevention and Protection from Congenital Heart Diseases for Students

Is a campaign through which we work to conduct a set of medical examinations in order to discover cases of congenital heart defects among our students, and to carry out awareness campaigns about the dangers of congenital heart diseases and how to prevent them, by doing the following

The launch of the (Protection and Prevention) campaign in all state schools is considered the first of its kind locally and in the Arab world. The campaign will include educational lectures, consultations, and free medical examinations for diseases that have a direct connection with the heart, such as doing sonar to know the state of the heart’s health, as well as doing ECG and blood pressure measurement. Blood, body fat percentage, sugar and cholesterol, determining the extent to which a person is likely to develop congenital heart disease, conducting training courses for school health professionals, conducting seminars, meetings, television and press interviews, and distributing brochures and videos to raise awareness of the risks of congenital heart disease, its risk factors, and how to prevent it.

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority is a volunteer humanitarian organization that provides support to the official authorities in times of peace and war. It offers assistance and aid to the most vulnerable populations without discrimination. It was founded on 31/1/1983, and its international recognition as a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The Emirates Congenital Heart Disease Society is a community initiative established in 2019. It is the first public benefit organization dedicated to individuals facing the challenges of congenital heart diseases and their families.

And one of the strategic objectives of the association is:

Providing care and empowerment for individuals affected by congenital heart diseases and their families, as well as educating and raising awareness within the community about congenital heart diseases.

In alignment with the strategic objectives of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority and the Emirates Society for Congenital Heart Diseases, we are working together to achieve the goals of the national awareness campaign for congenital heart diseases among students under the slogan: Signature
